Children's Privacy

• Through a school: the school creates and manages the student's account as part of its enrolment records. The school is responsible for any parental consent the law requires, and GyanMul processes the data on the school's behalf.
• Through GyanMul Prep: a learner or a parent can sign up directly to prepare for an exam such as SEE or NEB. Here GyanMul is responsible for the data, and the protections below apply.

• Anyone under 18 may use GyanMul Prep only with a parent's or guardian's permission. Children under 13 should use it only through their school or together with a parent or guardian.
• A parent can create their own account and link it to their child's to see progress, results and study plans.
• Purchases, connecting an AI assistant such as ChatGPT or Claude, and agreeing to photo use need a parent's or guardian's permission for a child under 18.
• A parent or guardian can ask to see, correct or delete their child's data — see section 7.

• For a Prep learner: name, email (or Google sign-in), the exam and grade they are preparing for, and their learning activity — answers, results, study plans, streaks.
• We do not ask a child for a home address, phone number, photo or ID document to use Prep.
• Photos are only collected when the child chooses to send one — for example a photo of a question for Gurubaa — and are kept only for a limited time.
• For school accounts, see Section 2 of our Privacy Policy for what a school may record.

• All data is encrypted in transit and at rest.
• Database security rules mean a child's records can be read only by the child, their linked parent or guardian, and — for school accounts — the school staff whose role allows it.
• Other learners never see a child's email or personal details. In live games such as Clash, only a display name and score are shown.
• Access by GyanMul staff is limited to what is needed for support and security, and is logged.
• Screenshots and screen recording are blocked in the app, and content on the website is watermarked, which also stops a child's screen being copied and shared.

Children's data is never sold, never used for advertising, and never shared with anyone for marketing. It is never used to train AI models. When a child uses Gurubaa, the question is sent to our AI provider (OpenAI) only to produce the answer, under terms that do not allow it to be used for training.

• A school can post a student's photo or name only where consent has been recorded, and a parent or guardian decides for a child who is managed by them. Consent can be withdrawn at any time.
• A child who wins a promotion must have a parent or guardian claim the prize, and we publish a winner's name or photo only with that parent's or guardian's consent.

A parent or guardian can ask for a copy of their child's data, for corrections, or for deletion. A Prep account can be deleted by requesting it from the GyanMul website while signed in, as described in our Account Deletion Policy. For a school account, the request goes through the school, which keeps the records the law requires it to keep.

A parent, guardian or school with a question or request about a child's data can contact info@gyanmul.com at any time. If you believe a child is using GyanMul without the permission described here, tell us and we will act on it promptly.
